It’s been a rough week for many people and I’ve found myself drawing my family closer to me. There’s been a lot of extra kisses, a lot of snuggles on the couch, a lot of us time. I’ve been saying “I love you” a lot more than normal and that, my friends, is a lot. My family is everything to me.
This is part of a blog hop hosted by the gorgeous Maxabella Loves.
Yes, same here, was wonderful my parents gave us a surprise visit too, they drove a six hour round trip just to say hello. It meant the world to me.
I doubt there are many of us that haven’t hugged our families a little tighter this week. x
Oh, you sound just like me. It’s what I’ve been doing all week too. Nothing like tragedy getting us back to what is really important. xx
Oh yes, family!! Even though my husband lives in Brisbane & we carry on life as usual in Canberra, family is so important, loving, wonderful & what we’re all about too. Love Posie
…and what a lovely family you have – this is such a lovely photo, full to the brim of love.

PS Loving the newly zhushed space – the newly-retired one was terrific too but this positively glows!
Yes I do agree – family is everthing (pretty much). And yours is a good looking little one at that.
Just beautiful. There isn’t a day that goes by without me tearing up at how wonderful my family is and how blessed I am to be part of them. They are my inspiration and my purpose. x
PS – I love your fresh new look!!
I am grateful for my family too #1. Gorgeous pic.
Truly wonderful and so right… family is what holds us together… and something to be grateful for…
Ditto! Such a big week in so many ways. x
so true. in times of grief and crisis, I always find myself seeking the physical closeness to my two boys (son & husband) just to feel reassured, to reassure them and because i am so glad we are all safe.
I know that feeling, Bianca. I have been too. x
The important thing is to hang on to that feeling and keep acting on it. I live in Brisbane. This week was many things to me, including very scary. My family is now safe. I am safe. There is nothing that beats that feeling. Nothing! I am grateful for it every day.
Sounds a worthy way to spend any week to me…
I couldn’t agree more. Lovely post. x
