Don’t you just love days that end with fairy lights? While people in Sydney were celebrating Mardi Gras, we decided a little magic should be enjoyed at our house too.
First off was a stop to the bakery for cinnamon donuts and a visit to the park.
As you can see the kids had an awful day!!
Then after tackling this mountain of clothes…
and the rest of ho hum domesticity. It was night. Then bed.
But for Miss 5, the promise of fairy lights and waiting up for her Dad to come home from work was too exciting. So, I decided she could stay up and wait. And then…the time came!
Everyone deserves a little magic. Don’t you think?

Definately 🙂
It’s so important to find little bits of magic in a day. Love it.
I love fairy lights. I don’t have any right now, I used to have solar powered dragonfly lights in my carport at my previous residence, but many of them didn’t light up anymore by the time I was moving, so I didn’t bring them. I need to get new ones.
We love our fairy lights, had them hard wired up to the power point. I love in the middle of winter when the sky turns dark early to simply put them on and watch them through the kitchen sliding door, such beauty on a dismal day.
