Dear Brad Pitt,
Your interview with Tara Brown on 60 Minutes was excruciating. I understand you no longer want to be a “commodity” in the world of celebrity. I understand you’d much prefer to focus on the craft of acting and reap the financial benefits of fame without the scrutiny. I get that. I get that you want privacy. However, what I don’t get is you being so rude, brash, arrogant and condescending.
Your thinly veiled plan to turn the tide of sentiment away from you is working. You’ve been very successfully transforming into a very unattractive man, on the outside and the inside. For example, this look is fab…
This look is not…
There are ways to shield yourself from the shackles of the nasty media vortex without being such a knob. I would think you would be quite savvy at deflecting the unwanted attention. Alas, you have chosen the cantankerous route, which is at odds with your supposed philosophical nature.
It’s the pitts, really it is. You need to take a leaf out of Matt Damon, George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Hugh Jackman’s book. Humility and kindness are really wonderful traits, perhaps you could draw on them next time you are thrust “unsuspectedly” into the media merry-go-round of film promotion. Oh wait, that’s right, it’s in your interest to promote films as it helps you live the life of advantage you’ve grown so accustomed. Please don’t treat your fans with so much disdain.
