OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Winter sun streaming through the window. The heater’s on. All the girls are on school holidays and today has been declared Stay At Home Make Biscuits, Do Craft and Laze Around Day.

I’m acutely aware of how lucky we are. We have a house to build our memories, peaceful streets, food to eat, time on our hands to play, we are not running from danger or trekking to water. We were born here. We so easily could have been born elsewhere. Life could be so different for us. It is the luck of draw. Gratefulness is important. Kindness is too.

Today I relish our freedoms. My girls and I, wrapped up in love.

I am so very grateful for days like these.

What are you grateful for?

PS: The photos in this post were taken with an Olympus OM-D E-M10 camera. The camera is perfect for me – it’s so light, looks freaking hip and is really easy to use, even for me. I’m really liking its inbuilt ArtFilters, Wifi and a nifty image transfer option. It helps me play around with the look of the photos both as I shoot them, but also when I’ve already taken them. I can also add my logo to them before easily sharing them on my social media networks. And as anyone who knows me, anything that helps in my over-sharing obsession is awesome.

* This is my second challenge post for the Kidspot Voices of 2014 Olympus My Family Lens Competition. I’m trying to win an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Camera. I really, really want one. I do not want to have to return my loan camera. I love it and have named it Sonny.
